How to use the Countdown Widget

 

Adding a New Countdown Widget

  • Go to Countdown Widget section in the left-sidebar menu.
  • CountdownWidgetSection

  • In the next screen, click on the blue Add Countdown Widget button.
  • AddNewWidget

  • In the Widget Settings screen, complete the following fields:
  • CountdownWidgetSettings

  • [01] Add Number of Days to the current date
  • [02] Set the Deadline Time for the selected Timezone > click on Done
  • [03] Select the TimeZone from the dropdown menu
  • [04] Give this widget a Name
  • [05] Click on Save
  •  

  • If you need to edit an existing Widget, click on the blue Edit button to the right of widget.

  • To delete a widget, simply click on the red “X” button to the right of the widget.

    How to Associate a Countdown Timer with a Page.

  • Go to your Pages section in the left-sidebar menu.
  • Select the page you would like to link the Countdown Timer widget to e.g. your Sales Page.

  • Open the Page Builder of the selected Page.
  • PageTemplate

  • In the left-sidebar menu, click on Countdown Timer.
  • PageTemplateSettings

  • In the Countdown Timer settings screen:
  • CountdownTimerSettings

  • [4.1] ensure that Show is ticked
  • [4.2] check that the Countdown Widget is selected
  • [4.3] In the Widget dropdown menu, select the Widget you created in the Countdown Widget section.
  • [4.4] In the Redirect Url field, paste the Url for the page users should reach if they have passed the deadline of the sale or offer.
  • [4.5] IMPORTANT: You can use the parameters below to pass the User Email to page.
  • Passing a contact’s email address in your URL with Infusionsoft:

    You can pass a contact’s email address in the URL with Infusionsoft by simply adding the contact email merge field at the end of your URL.

    To do this simply add the following Infusionsoft merge field to end of the countdown timer parameter (?contactEmail=) in your URL: ~Contact.Email~

    Here is an example of what your URL will look like once done: http://www.learnacousticguitar.com/offer-countdown?contactEmail=~Contact.Email~

    This URL will be sent to your contacts from Infusionsoft.

    Passing a contact’s email address in your URL with Aweber:

    You can pass a contact’s email address in the URL with Aweber by simply adding the contact email merge field at the end of your URL.

    To do this simply add the following Aweber merge field to end of the countdown timer parameter (?contactEmail=) in your URL: {!email}

    Here is an example of what your URL will look like once done: http://www.learnacousticguitar.com/offer-countdown?contactEmail={!email}

    This URL will be sent to your contacts from Aweber.

  • [4.6] Once the merge field has been added to your Url > Click on Save.

    Now your Countdown Widget is linked to your page and will update dynamically for people on your list.
